PERSONA COLORS

The bathroom and kitchen are sometimes the most unimportant spaces in a house. We don’t usually spend so much time in there. The artist, inspired from these spaces, aims to transform them and give them a different significance. He embraces the spaces in colourful studies but at the same time he embraces their banality to create paradoxical worlds. In practice he achieves that in a twofold way: at first with the set design, and secondly, with the models’ behaviour. On the on hand they give you the feeling that they are in their natural environment, but on the other hand they look unobtrusive and cold, unmoved. They impersonate made-up, doll-like and exaggerated personalities that have the potential to be real and to perceive the world in a different way. Colour is starring in each frame, in each personality, colour is the only objective quality in this alternate reality of a once familiar space.
